Best Under 40
The Business Journal and Northwest Herald are seeking nominations to recognize McHenry County professionals under the age of 40 who have made significant contributions to their profession, company and community. A Best Under 40 reception, dinner and awards presentation will be held in honor of our award recipients, to celebrate their achievements and community involvement. The best of these rising stars - who could be considered driven, leaders, talented and inspirational - will be featured in the Business Journal's October issue.

Taste of Home Cooking School
Join us from 7-9m at the Holiday Inn in Crystal Lake on November 6, 2014 for the Taste of Home Cooking School! Culinary Specialist Guy Klinzing will entertain guests and offer helpful hints as he prepares a number of dishes and desserts. Shop the expo before the show and get a jump on holiday shopping!
There are a limited number of VIP tickets available. VIP tickets are $40 and include a cookbook (valued at over $25) and reserved seating! General admission tickets are $16.

The Lake County Awards Luncheon, held on Oct. 22 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Mundelein honored Lake County Magazine's 2015 Women of Distinction.
The Women of Distinction Award was presented to women who live and/or work in Lake County who were chosen as role models and leaders in their fields and communities. The ceremony honored this year’s Lake County Magazine’s Women of Distinction and provided honorees with an opportunity to share their stories.
This year’s Women of Distinction are Dyllis Braithwaite, Gale Cohen-Demarco, Tara Devine, Claudia Freeman, Kim Kiesgen, Judy Kotsiopoulos, Nicole Martin, Susan McConnell, Mary Miske and Chrissie Newton-Mena.
